White Cosmos I

A single oversized white flower fills the canvas, sculpted almost entirely from heavy palette-knife petals that fan outward in cream and pearl. Each petal is a single confident stroke with a deep ridge running its length, lifting proud of the surface so the bloom reads as low-relief plaster as much as oil paint. At the center, a crowded cluster of golden honey stamens carries the only warm event, and a thin stem trails downward into a pale gray wall scuffed with vertical drips.

The palette is held to ivory, pearl, and a small ring of warm honey-gold, with the gray ground reading as quiet negative space. That extreme economy is the considered move. With color stripped back almost completely, the eye is forced into the surface, into the rhythm of the petals, the small bright cluster of stamens, and the slow vertical drips of the wall.
