We paint a lot of wedding pieces, and they are some of our favourite work. You send us a photo from the day, whether it is the first dance, the walk back down the aisle, or a quiet moment nobody staged, and we turn it into an oil painting on canvas. These are personalized oil portraits, painted by hand, not filtered prints, so the result feels like the day itself rather than a copy of a photo. We have painted tiny elopements and huge receptions, and honestly the small candid shots often make the best paintings. There is no template here; every couple gets read on their own terms, which is why no two of these pieces come out quite alike.

How We Paint Your Wedding Portrait

First we send you a digital preview so you can check the likeness and the framing before any paint dries. If the dress needs a truer white or you want the background simplified, tell us then and we adjust. Once you approve it, we finish the canvas, varnish the surface, and ship it stretched and ready to hang. Nothing goes out the door until you are happy with the face, because the face is the whole point of the piece. We can also tighten a crop, remove a stray guest from the edge of the frame, and warm up flat hall lighting so the day looks the way you actually remember it.

Which Photo Works Best

Bright, sharp photos give us the most to work with, though we have rescued plenty of dim reception shots too. Couples often come back around the one-year mark for anniversary portraits from photo, so it is worth keeping a few high-resolution files from the day rather than only the compressed ones on your phone. If the photographer gave you the originals, send those; the extra detail always shows up in the finished coat and lace.

Sizes and Framing

Most people pick something between 40 by 50 and 60 by 90 centimetres. Larger reads beautifully over a bed or sofa.
