We paint faces the abstract way, a few decisive lines, a plane of colour for a cheek, a shadow that only hints at an eye. It is some of our favourite work to make, because every Face turns out different even when the brief is simple. How We Paint a Face

Most start from a mood rather than a photo. We block in the big shapes first, then pull the features out with a knife and a dry brush, working the paint while it is still open. Oil lets us keep edges soft where a straight portrait would want them sharp, and that softness is what makes an abstract face feel alive instead of stiff. If you have a reference you love, send it over and we will paint toward the feeling in it, not a copy of it. We will show you where it is going before it is anywhere near done. Two people can send the same photo and get two very different paintings from us, because the feeling each carries is different. We would rather chase that than a flat likeness.

Where a Face Painting Works

These pieces hold a room's attention, so give them a wall that can carry it, an entry, a stairwell, or the space behind a bed. For a long feature wall, our panoramic abstract paintings can set two or three faces in a row like a quiet crowd. Keep any other art nearby minimal so the face stays the clear lead. They also work well in a home office on video calls, where a single strong face behind you says more than a shelf of tidy books. Give the face room on the wall, since crowd it with other frames and the space starts to feel watched rather than warmed.
